My Story
Back in 2021, I started a 'bookstagram' page meant to enhance my deep love for reading. My sole purpose was to review the books I was reading and share my thoughts on my favourites. I originally struggled with the "need" to be aesthetically pleasing, when I quickly realized that as a reader I wanted to know what people thought of the book I was interested in. I didn't care if the photo itself looked amazing or not.

Some time after, my mother-in-law and I started a Book Club and a podcast where we would talk about the books we were reading. As life got busy, the podcast was no longer a priority but I enjoyed reviewing and talking about books! I also learned about ARC's (Advance Reader Copies), and began branching out into reviewing for indie authors as well as trad authors. As the Book Club continued to grow, I branched off into creating a server on Discord dedicated to building a book community. That is where I can be found hosting virtual meet ups and author Q&A's. I am constantly enhancing and evolving our community! On top of managing the Discord community and transitioning the book club from one platform to another, I am consistently knocking off books from my endless TBR.

From a young age I wanted to work in a library or a bookstore, as I picked up reading again in my adulthood it became something at the forefront of my brain constantly. The more I would talk about it the more excited I would get about the idea of owning a bookstore, until one day my husband suggested creating my own bookstore on the world wide web.

That is how Dedicated Reader's Bookstore was born! I am truly looking forward to the bookstore growing and flourishing!
